My last arts camp is over and like what honghui said, 'there is sudden emptiness' that we experience right after arts camp ended. all the fun games, bonding, cheering like mad, laughing at each other's voices (or lack there of) is just suddenly gone. For 5 days, we are surrounded by our fellow friends, both councillors and freshies alike, all the movement and the noise found in camp is just gone.

i think i'm lost without camp. i came home and it was like quiet. really really really quiet. as i'm typing i can hear myself typing and in my head all i want to hear is the chanting of cheers, laughter and footsteps.

This time round, arts camp has brought about a very different atmosphere. There is something extra yet something is missing as well. Maybe its just me in my emo-nemo state of mind.

Anyway, i just wanted to say that the yr 2 councillors did a great job this year, especially the OGLs. All councillors and Ogls were very very very very very bonded. All R house OGLs were Yr 1s gg to Yr 2 and maybe because of that, they were extremely nervous and prepared for this yr's artscamp. They made tshirts, bought lots of props, bought things for the hse ics, came up with tons of new and exciting cheers for the house and many many more!!! so thanks to all the OGLs n councillors for making R house the Best House in Arts Camp!!! ROKAY!!!

oh yes, the house ICs did a damn damn damn damn damn good job toooo!!! I felt that our house ICs had the greatest presence in arts camp and worked really hard trying to rara the house. The other house ics were very enthusiastic as well but on the whole, Julie and Zhimin rocked the camp!!! :D:D:D so, thanks julie, zhimin for being the best House ICs for arts camp 2008!!!

To my OG, i know sometimes i may seem like i'm pissed off with something and may misinterpret my tone when i speak but really, i was fine with the OG and totally wasn't angry at all. Its just the way i speak sometimes la when we have to get things done in the shortest amount of time. so to my OG, i really really really think all of you are great people and it was fun being in the same OG as you guys :) thanks for being part of my last arts camp!

and lastly, to the ocommers, i must say that this years games were fantastic and everything went smoothly from one programme to another. well that's my point of view although i did hear some things from your side. i just want to say that u guys did a great job in organising the activities!!! :) I especially felt that the senior ocommers(bingde, cherie, kaiwei, michelle, sandra, mingguang, weicheng, maomao(zhixiong), cindy, serene and many many more!!!) did a damn fantabulous job for the programmes as well as some new ocommers like joan, weibin, eugene.

anyway, thanks to everybody who have made this arts camp a great last one for meeeee :):)

9-10 june was PRECAMP!!!
took 2 days off specially to have some fun and get ready for the upcoming arts camp. this time round, it seems more friendly and definitely less hostile than previous precamps.. its a very relax mood where people just want to have fun and make friends. i thought it was very good!! especially R HOUSE!!!

we've got councillors who are damn zai at 'hei bai pei', councillors who makes people laugh easily, councillors who feed you, councillors who cheer like mad, councillors who skip damn well (and some who don't) and most of all, R house has the best HOUSE ICs in the whole camp!!!! :D:D:D

so those who are still hesitating to join artscamp 08, don't hesitate and just join!!
remember, R HOUSE IS THE BEST!! hahaha

last but not least, let's not forget the people who organised it with great pains, the OCOMMERS!! great job guys!! i had lots of fun during precamp!! and artscamp shall be better!!

hello!

its raining cats and dogs now! nice weather to sleep BUt i have slept almost the entire day away already so no more sleeping for me..at least for the next few hours!! i promised elaine and sharon i would. so i shall not break my promise!

ok photos for huishan's bdae. it was a uphill task to find something for her! ended up getting a bear from the build a bear workshop for her..the "humiliation" that we went through!!! haha..humiliation is too strong..proberly paiseh-ness!!! we had to select a skin for the bear den we had to make wishes for the bear's heart!!! (by the way, we named the bear-captain!). anw the most amazing part was that Captain had a beating heart!!! lup dup, lup dup!!! ok..den after that we had to step on some machine to fluff up the bear. iswear everyone in the shop were STARING at us!!! ahhhh!!! den we haf to shower and give bear a nice brush, next came the part i liked the most. choosing clothes!!!! Tada~ our end product!

this is the 2nd day of my mid-sem break!!!! well...i think it was pretty well spent so far!

fri- i went to chloe's 21st bdae celebration. it was so cute cos it was held at toa payoh mac's! ahaha..we played musical chairs, burst the balloons and lucky draw. well i didnt win anything thou but i had fun!!! hahaha...wanna thank derek for accompanying me. Normally for such function its quite hard to get him to go,hehe.

Sat- went to settlers at holland v with han, leonard, sharon n elaine. it was abit hard to locate the place but still with our astute sense of directions+ a little teeny weeny bit of help from the settlers pple, we manage to find the place! it was a success!!! i reali enjoyed myself! we played lots of "quick" games. and evil us specially reserved a game called fast hands for elaine(the hamster). it was hilarious!!!! we were all shown this card with some hand signs and we had to imitate it in the fastest possible time!but to give elaine credit, she did improve abit in the end! hahahah.

went to sharon's place for a sleepover. its been quite awhile since the 3 of us had a sleepover. me n elaine read some archie comics, sharon did stuff for her hermit crabs. sharon should post picts of her new hermits crabs! they are a beautiful red!!!! hahhaha..i didnt haf the guts to touch them thou. ahaha..after that we fixed supper! maggie mee plus scramble egss! yum yum!

the best part was in the morning where we had breakfast with ah meng!! kidding!auntie nancy fixed a feast for breakfast! there was minced meat porrridge cos hamster elaine cant really eat anything else besides that. there was salad, nuggets, fries and prawn!!!! the best part was there were fruits too!!!!! dragon fruits, apple and grapes! hahah...thank you auntie nancy! hahah, it proved too much for us and we decided we needed alittile help in the form of leonard!!!! hahha...after that we went to AMK hub for SEX in the City. please go watch it! even thou i hav not seen the tv series,but the movie was great. perfect for a girls' day out,. watching it with our bf might scare him alittle i suppose, cos the ladies in the show aint no "damsels in distress".

just had my op yesterday to remove my 4 v troublesome wisdom teeth. n now my cheeks r puffed up like i have fishballs permanently stuffed in my mouth. i actually took a picture of my teeth but decided they looked too gross hahaaa. i even made suyi eat tori q (u know those grilled chicken sticks thing) w me e day b4 coz i knew i wont b able to eat meat for awhile..saddening! but she promised to treat me to meat when im well again heee. suyi rocksss (:

ive been working at e birdpark! been nxt to e penguins for abt 2 weeks. (no im not a penguin-keeper. i just sell souvenirs at e shop nxt to them.) i get to watch e penguin feeding almost everyday! they are super cute laa (: its amusing e way e penguins keep nodding their heads every now n den. its like theyve got some secret hahaa. n they walk really funnily.

its quite calming to just stand there n watch them (:

had an exciting weekend!!! week.. ya.. ok last week. haha :)

we met up with xiaomi and winnie for dinner on thursday night! err leonard tagged along coz he had to buy a cousin's present and we had to help him and then he decided he was going to join us. THICK SKIN!!! (ok the story is warped)

anyway, here's me with my salted fish and chicken claypot rice! i was soooooo hungry, i had to smile for my food. :D

and finally group piccccccccccccccc!!! winnie and leonard were damn funny.. coz while me, elaine and xiaomi were talking to each other abt huishan's birthday present, the 2 was like," eh leave us out la... nvm the 2 of us can talk to each other." and then leonard went," so.... what time did u end work?"

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! so pathetic!!! ya well, that's leonard for you.

and then came saturday...

woke up at 10, cut my hair at 11 and then my hair looks REALLY SHORT!!!! ok elaine got a shock. but then so did i. haha it didnt seem so short when i was cutting it there. haha. but its fine la, i dont mind it :) eh... as for a photo... sooon soon if i ever go out with anybody. hahaha :)

met xiaomi after lunch to shop for huishan's present which like 9 pple shared. so we had quite a sizeable amt to spend. anyway, we couldnt think of anything to get, so we got her a 'build-a-bear' BEAR!!!! its very cute ok! its like half bought, half 'made' by us so not bad la! he was decked in denim overalls and a red cap with nice brown shoes!!!! :) he has a beating heart, and barks like a dog. (the photo is with xiaomi, so go haunt her for it coz its cute)

bowling at the civil servant club for huishan's party!!! haha the PPGs, shufang, renjun, sherman, hejia went together as a group and err we bowled terribly. haha PPGs, shufang * renjun shared like ONE game. so err the first round, since all of us got like 0, the final score was erm... 28. xiaomi miraculously suddenly knew how to bowl and manage to help us get a score of 67 in the 2nd game. altho renjun did get a spare and someone else too.

huishan's birthday cake was yummylicious!!! banana chocolate!!!! it was shaped in a star with colourful thingamajigs at the edges of the star. niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D:D

ehh.. we kind of forgot to bring our cams so err ya wait for huishan to upload first :)

sunday= great achievement day!

i made my waterfall for my hermit crabs like finally............... and i tested it out today and lo and behold it works!!!! yayyyy for meeee!!! and i got a strawberry crab too!!! (Note: strawberry crabs are rare because they are endangered in australia. however, they are not threatened in places like indonesia and malaysia) so ya i got one. planning to get another on thursday and then i will set up my new tank during the weekends! YAYYYYY :)
