I got new purple specs! Going to collect them on Wednesday=) 2 weeks have gone and what have i done? hmmm...gotta start packing my room already. Its been in a mess ever since i was studying for exams? Just met winnie to return her Harry Potter book.. like finalli cos its been with me for like a month? Anw her course,accounting sounds like a nightmare to me. She has been spending her week break in SMU mon-fri(except thu) 10am to 5pm fro projects. Thank god, none of us in that course but winnie" jia you" wor! haha..
Went to settlers on fri. It was fun! played some more new games. my personal favourite "you must be an Idiot"!...this game had me in stitches! we had to answer some chiem questions from the game cards but...you would think you need to get all the qn correct rite? Instead b4 the start of each question you got to pick either an idiot card or commoner card, meaning the idiot is supposed to get the answer wrong..
Eg: Qn: who is harry potter's enemy? Commoner: voldermot (correct spelling??) Idiot aka me: sirius! Grr..i haven watch jay chou "secret" yet. Have been waiting for derek to watch with me since 2 weeks ago. cant wait already. Gg to start without him..lol...too bad dear=p

Anyone remembers a post where i mentioned about Rajoo's Charity Organization videos? because there were no projector available at the Biz carpark for obvious reasons, our charity show went without videos that we spent a long time trying to make. anyway, it doesnt matter coz i have the videos here with me!!!
Each video is supposed to be played after every skit acted out by the Rajoo freshies and councillors. so a little imagination is needed on your part (those who were there for the finale night of Oweek) to imagine the whole thing.
These videos are for Chonghan, who spent a great deal of effort with my computer to make the videos work and for thanking him for making artscamp'06, oweek'06, artscamp'07, oweek'07 great for all the RED house people! :) and also for taking great care of me especially during precampoweek'07, oweek and even after oweek! CHONGHAN we must eat lunch or dinner together soon leh! haven seen u in the longest time! :)

i met my squadmates today. we all went down to support suyi in her auditions. i hope she makes it! (:

it was good catching up on their lives. everyone seems to have some sort of direction in life n wat they wan to do. i just realised my squad has: 2 future doctors, 1 engineer, 5 accountants, 3 scientists, 1 mathematician, 2 social workers and some others planning to go into the media industry. which left me wondering wat im doing w my life. compared to them, im still bumming ard w no sense of direction watsoever of wat i wan to do in future. makes me wonder wat all tt studying was for. and like im just wasting my time everyday enjoying life n not doing anything constructive.
i guess tts wat happens when i hang out w goal-oriented pp. i tend to feel abit inadequate. perhaps taking life as it is is not enough anymore. izit really because of a difference in beliefs n priorities? or just tt im too busy enjoying e present to plan for e future? sigh.

GLENDA do we have mince meat???? glenda: ya we do. me(turns to x&e): yeap we have. xiaomi & elaine: okay i think we're cooking spaghetti. glenda: but im cooking spaghetti tonight... xiaomi & elaine: ..........ermmm okay den lets look for something else.
after awhile, while xiaomi & elaine were busy chopping up mushrooms, me: is that my chopping board? xiaomi & elaine: erm ya...u mean u dunno?!
so i left glenda with them and i'm here.

e photos are finally here!
rum had an outing last friday! e turnout was quite good considering this is our 2nd outing (somehow i thought everyone's xcitement for e og would die down after e 1st outing. definitely not e case for rum! :D) we had dinner at essential brew @ holland v. dear jeslyn n bernie were real nice. they booked seats and were there early to receive everyone :)
kerching joined us too! i think hes half rum alr. he nv fails to turn up at our outings :)

jeanette was e birthday girl tt day! n rum surprised her w a gimongous birthday balloon! *psst see e envious look in e nxt table's lady's eyes?! n e shock on her bf's face. i think hes dreading wat he has to surprise his gf w nxt la. haha!* i think jeanette was in too much shock. coz all she could do was laugh. and we just had to sing e bday song superr loudly in e restaurant. in both languages of coz, to show our bilinguality (if theres such a word) n more importantly, to attract attention. hee.
all e guys were eyeing one of e waitresses there. shes real pretty u see. n they think she could be a model. e whole commotion they made over e waitress was funny! e girls had fun laughing at them. n i think bcoz of tt our table got alot of attention frm e restaurant crew. we became known as "e ones who like e pretty waitress". e guys were damn obvious laa.
jeslyn bernie n me. jeslyn was in-charge of organising e outing n msging everyone! its nice to have someone to step out n volunteer to organise such stuff. tts how pp can actually stay together! it just takes abit of initiative n effort frm everyone :)

im real glad for rum. tt everyone has managed to find lasting frenship thru this camp tt i once half-condemned coz we din exactly have a good experience last year. but this oweek has proved me wrong. i probably see it differently coz i was playing a totally different role this time...but anyways! im glad everyone stuck together :)
Cave woman has now turned into book worm. During the past week i have read through 2 books and from sat till today i have already finished another 2 and started on my third. hmm..really says alot bt me huh..so intellectual, willing to learn new knowledge and all huh...haha...puleez...i m just kidding!!! it just tells how bored i am...hahz
went to zouk on sat. went with chloe, her bf , n her bf 2 frens.it was a rather fun outing i suppose cos i usually dont go with people i dont know. being kiasu and..frugual, we went there early like 9.30pm to buy cheaper tix. Afer that we drowned 2 jugs of vodka sprite, another 2 jugs of jim bean and vodka ribena. Sad to say after that i was abit seh alr. another of her bf's fren got like real drunk and all. It was so funny and scary when he was on the dance floor. he was doing weird dances, super enthu and everything, me n chloe just kept luffing n luffing. derek n his frens were there too. quite funny that we will occasionally meet on the dance floor. supposed like we were supposed to be together but we were at the same place with different people, haha quite alright, i dont mind if there's another time like this.
yea, at least this week aint gg to be cooped up at home alr. Wed gg to sharon's plc, thu gg to my cousin-in-law interpreter for my nephew's meet the parents mtg and tution, fri gg to settlers'. yea...hopefully there will be pictures to update. my posts are all so wordy..so boring..just like me=)

This week: Mon:stuck in the library studying fo nm2201 (intercultural communications) Tues:
stuck in the library studying for nm2201 too (lect was from 6-8pm)
project mtg after lect where we finally got somewhere for the proj!
we met khercheng for dinner (ate XO beehoon) and icecream at coldrock!
the focus of my studies.
as u can tell, we werent very productive that day. at cold rock.
Wed:boring day at sch. Thurs:
ssa2202 project mtg at 8 am! my god just when i thought i could rest after nm, i had to wake damn early.. sheesh. but then nvm, i got to sleep after the mtg and during lect.ps.
met raiko for netball at the SRC!! hahaha.. 2 of us and honghui in one team & zhengyi,zhixiong, pingqi, donna in another team!! it was damn fun although it lasted only a few minutes because we were damn tired playing full court and it was damn hot! not to mention i had a damn big blister on the soles of my feet! currently unable to walk now. i'm hobbling on one foot. so unglam la! :( we went to munchie monkeys to eat dinner and it was nice :):):) glad we could have an OG thing after camp! can't wait for ritchell's hse stayover on friday!!! :D
turns out, the 2 of us packed the same "play netball" clothes. hahaha and it was totally UNintentional!!!! no communication abt the clothes at all!!! (oh ya, we wore the exact same skirt out today again.. and our colour coordination was exactly the same as well *black & white*, totally unplanned la!)
nighttime online was quite happening. hey, i hope u understand it. :) i'm sure pple will give u a chance to change.
Fri:
went to cck to meet elaine before we headed to fishmart centre coz i wanted to buy my stuff! actually wanted to go qianhu as well but then ar the stupid person who directed us there from fishmart centre say until like so near, turns out it was damn far la! so we didn't get to go in the end.. sianzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
it was hot at the fish farm centre, we decided to tie our hairs. mine was split into 2 ponytails !! haha brings back childhood memories. and the time i did it in JC coz i couldnt tie it into one. ok those who knew me in Jc would prob know why.
we went vivo city to meet huishi and ritchell for lunch!! ok late lunch since they were late for an hour...... anw, while the 2 of us were waiting, we went to toy'r'us to have some fun!
3 dolls:xiaomi.me.elaine. brings back the seseme street memories doesnt it? esplanade done in in some toy fixing thing.an alternaive to legos. oh yes the 2 construction workers wanabees.
after that, we went to NUM to see see look look. as i was telling elaine abt this nice pair of slippersss (yes slippers again i know i have alot), this salesguy came up to elaine and told her abt some tookitooki thing to put on her havainas since she was wearing it. then i just walk away thinking of that nice pair of slippers. then elaine had a phone call and i couldnt talk to her, then that very same sales guy came up to me and said:" that's a nice dress u're wearing, where did u buy it?" and i was in a very blur mood (totally smittened by that pair of slippers) so i was just thinking he might want to buy for his gf or something. so
i stupidly just told him, "oh bugis junction." he replied," oh where exactly?" me: erm seiyu, ladies section, once u come up of the escalator there. yeaps. him: nice dress! i said thanks and just bo chapped him coz all i was thinking abt was my slippers and thinking if i shud get it since NUS has 20% off which means i save 8 BUCKS! but then i didnt get it in the end. anyway, after that i tot i saw elaine then i grabbed that person's shoulder and said," EH! the slippers really very nice lehsssss" then i realised like after 10 secs, that the person i grabbed was a STRANGER! my god.. so diu lians.. and elaine was laughing at me after that. so embarassing.
anyway, after that ate at marche's with huishi and ritchell. huishi left after that and we went shopping with ritchell! haha and she was lucky to find a belt that looks damn nice and was of an affordable price considering it was from zara. :)
Sat:finally able to wake up late!! woke at 11pm, met elaine at 12 pm at bugis, shopped a teeny bit, met khercheng to buy mooncakes and plan what to buy for tmr's celebration. ( anyone who wants to come, pls come, its at 7pm @ NUS central forum park there...) and went home. damn tired dunno why.. even though i slept until 11!! haha paiseh. now blogging and later gg to my god-grandparents place to visit them. haiz wanted to blade one but no time since we're heading over.
i swear i never get to blade when i want to coz my plans just get twarted by my mum. Weds wanted to blade after i came back from sch. but my mum told me she brought the blades to the office warehse coz she tot i not using already.. and she didn't even ask for my oppinion la! aiyo.. put in my room laaaa.. big deal!.. then i couldnt blade. Thurs couldnt blade coz of netball with raiko but its ok at least i played a tiny bit of netball.. friday cannot coz went home too late and the sky was dark. (thomson 800 doesnt really have a conducive environment ard it to blade unless u want me to get knocked down by cars) today my plans to blade again was twarted coz we're heading to my grandmas (not that i mind of course). its just irritating coz i've been feeling like a dumpling for the past 2 weeks. 2 weeks never go judo training and no exercise at all and i got constipation.. help. Hence, i'm a dumpling.boo.
anyway, tmr's mooncake festival with R house tho i think only rota is turning up, but nvm.. Next week: mon:heading to the beach from NUS with elaine to tan!!! tues:mugging time in the lib!!! wed:probably a picnic with xiaomi and just chilling out thurs:not sure yet but i highly think its mugging time friday:ritchell's stayover with the raiko ppl!!!! sat:not sure. sun:mugging for changing landscapes!

hey there! cave woman has decided to make contact with the outside world=) haha...i cant believe one week has come n gone just like that. and i was at home the entire time...amazing..i am a hermit crab!
Finally my attachment is over! Learnt alot of stuff there. Its so sad to leave my aunties there. seen the good side and ugly side of nursing and its just 3 weeks of attachment...what about 3 years..lolz but still i know nursing is tghe right way to go for me. HAhz.. patients who are simply down right demanding (one patient from my friend's side called nurses "maids"!) and some who are super nice patients...easy to care. Patients relatives...haiz...some of them are simply asking for it lo...so whiny, complaint kings n queens. but i shall not dwell on it cos i think i can write on n on non about the different types of relatives i have seen in the hospital.
heys i now have a ball of er...moss??? but nvm its origin of watever, it looks so cute..hahaha...sharon elaine lets go out some time soon!
oh ya...for derek...he's selected as a candidate to run for the 9th division infantry cross country???i duno la...some long long name..lol..but i m so proud of him=)

suntec kbox staff are quite friendly. e waiters were ALWAYS at our service n v eager to help *ahemahem* we had a good laugh. (at my expense. until we considered e fact tt e waiter might have been gay n was after bingde/teetoosii instead) haha!
sharon n teetoosii launched a camera war. they took soo many photos of each other in e exact same position as above. teetoosii ended up looking like cyclops most of e time. HAHA.
due to some technical fault, bingde's imaginary fren has been removed. so presenting e modern you ke li lin instead! wahh like their own concert lehhs! (:

sharon hasnt been able to send me e photos of our recent kbox trip w teetoosii bingde n kerching. so ill just randomly update u all first! :)
monday was relatively xciting. it was so cold in e morning tt e freezing sisters decided to skip training and lect for e day n go catch hairspray instead. n we had lunch w kerching! (who decided tt eating tao huay w chopsticks was e new in thing) haha!
tiong bahru cinema has real generous staff. just 50cents more for half a container of happiness! (i mean e cheese. though e nachos was good too) superr sinful. but superr good esp on such a cold day :) needless to say my twin is crazy over e hairspray soundtrack. just try singing it to her when u see her. she might just sing along n wave in total madness w u.
we thought e cinema was empty except for us n a few old ah peks. so we happily made alot of noise n stupid comments thruout e show. i got a shock when i saw e rows behind us almost filled when i looked back after e movie ended. all those comments abt super hot zac effron *quote sharon* n e little fat woman esp when they kissed. my god. *smackshead*
we were on our way to suntec to meet teetoosii yest when sharon got very amused by this doorway. it says "i am pan pacific". hmm yar okay. hahaa!
anyway! i HAVE to introduce u to sharon's new tank. we went shopping for her water plants n gravel today. n we saw some really cool stuff! e petshop behind clementi mrt rocks la. they have such a huge variety of fishes (both freshwater n marine) n they have hamsters n crickets n all e different types of worms n frogs n shrimps n pretty water plants! my personal favourite is e mossball. just as e name suggests, it looks like a ball...of moss. see those 3 balls in e corner? theyre called me, mi n mo. me belongs to sharon. n xiaomi is gg to adopt mi (xiaomi u get to adopt one too!) n mo is mineeee. or at least im adopting it n keeping it in sharon's tank. heee. hence my new pet. yayy :)

my god. i never knew how much arts camp and oweek can really change your life so much until this year.
joining arts camp last year enabled me to make some friends to take modules with and eat lunch/dinner with. but it was just a few. i would say we(me and elaine) were pretty much alone with only joy, huishi and ritchell who joined us sometimes. but mostly, we were on our own. thank god we take the same mods or i'll be lonelier.
this year, joining arts camp as a councillor and an ogl really widened this group of friends. we now have both freshies friends, councillor friends, house ic friends and ocommers friends. and guess what? last sem we were both counting how many guy friends we made during the year excluding our artscamp og and oweek og. guess what? we both made 1 male friend each. (different of course due ot our diff nm groups) and this year? excluding our og, we actually made more male friends. ok at least its more than 1. shan't list any of their names but they should know la. i'm glad there is actually more than 10. haha :D we were starting to wonder if we were just wierd so ya.
oh and another thing, we just realised we have more outings with guys this sem than we girls! 0_o!!!!! amazing right! i can't believe it myself. anyway, we went to kbox with titus, bingde and khercheng today! total fun-ness! hmm.. havent uploaded the photos.. shall send the file to elaine and let her do the talking. she needs to blog more man.
few freaky things i've discovered this sem: 1. u never know who is reading your blog because they dont tag!!! sheesh. 2. gossip =brrr... esp when they include u. 3. u know what? what was a bad adventure actually had gd consequences. i made much more friends after that adventure ended. 4. things can change with just a snap of a finger. 5. i got a new fish tank. wanna help me find spongebob's pineapple house to put inside it? 6. my father got 2 fighting fish today. like OUT OF THE BLUE!

Its not even half a sem and i'm feeling the stress bowling me over. Economics lecture have me staring blankly at the lecturer wondering what the hell he is talking about. No matter how hard i try to listen and understand, i still get these question marks popping out of head. Hence, the large amount of time spent in the library reading the txtbooks and trying to figure out what is going on. The worst part is everybody around me seems to understand them pretty easily. sigh.
on another hand, monday= slack day! ok.. we(me and elaine) had tutorials in the morning but after that.... we decided to skip changing landscapes lecture and to pon judo training! hehehe.. went to watch HAIRSPRAY at tiong bahru plaza! and it was a good decision! it was a really good movie with fantastic music and dancing!!! Zac Effron looks damn cute there la.. i'm envious of nikki blonsky.. hurhur. i'm officially smittened by him.. hahaha :D
anyway, i shall tell u a joke:
2 girls went to watch hairspray at tiong bahru plaza on monday happily skipping their SS lecture and judo training. 2 of them were looking out for john travolta and zac effron(ok 1 of them was anyway). throughout the whole movie, the 2 girls kept asking each other," where is john travolta? got john travolta meh? i don't see him anywhere la! and the movie is already halfway lehs... are u sure he's inside? but the poster got say he is inside leh!"
the 2 girls only realised at the end when the credits were rolling that john travolta played 'BIG MAMA' in hairspray.
the young ones... the super duper cute one... the cast... the one whom we were trying to find throughout the whole movie... i agree with what the poster says.

smuiishi was v nice to come visit me today at e fishtank b4 she went for her concert thing. it was nice to have some company (i cant really communicate w e other living things in e shop. read: FISH) anyway i commented on her real glossy lips which looked like she just had some roast duck.
haha! but she looked nice la :) even though she insisted on some parts which din look like it usually did (huishi u shld get this) n listening to her n her uncletan bickering on e phone was quite entertaining. they speak equally fast to each other (it just sounds like rambles to me hahaa)
thanks for making work past fastererrrr :)
anyway i just found out today tt hari raya is coming soon! n our malay frens are starting their fasting month (tmr i think) erm ya just some random reminders haha!

Visit to the countryside
Ms. Phua decided to bring 2 city people to the countryside today to see the meh mehs and feed the mosquitoes. We concluded that the mehmeh's love nibbling elaine's hand, khaiseng doesnt sell tropical fish and limchukang's cats eat seaweed.
i felt like a sheep when i had this on my hand.

Goats have only 2 tits while cows have 4. Goats milk is alkaline while cows milk is acidic. 1 goat can produce milk for up till 8 mths after giving birth to a kid. Goat's lifespan= 12 years. Goat is considered old after 10 years. last pic: named "Nibbler". it chewed on elaine's hand when elaine was feeding it hay. the green ear that is nxt to its head belongs to "Pinochio" which i forgot why they named it Pinochio.
