Things you do in the library other than studying or do you?

1. u write silly postcards to your friends. and draw their faces. o_o

2. the postcard u use for writing silly messages for your friends are plain obscene, but with educational value.

3. u pose silly pictures with those who are in lalaland.

4. u pretend u're studying but i bet u guys are just daydreaming about the next meal.

5. take photos with postcards because it is your only friend in the library.

6. learn how to write your name in thai. (the above is elaine)

7. reassure yourself that u're sleepy by writing it down.

8. draw affectionate stick figures to your friends on their notes. and i didn't write 'iloveu'.

10. buy a whole tub of mini chupachups in preparation for the nxt one mth of studying when its actually an excuse to not study.

smuiishi n i made a new fren named ah-kok. fresh frm e hairdresser's (: we conquered half of bugis in a day! hajilane n bugis street were not spared. e sun was so hot on friday..!

smaron likes to peep when people are trying clothes! n we caught her in e act. go shopping w her at ur own risk. hahaa! we got reaally tired (oldpeople like us cannot walk too much) so we headed to huishi's hse! heres some of e action (:

dinner was w raiko! they celebrated me n my fellow octobians (pq's new word) birthdays at glasshouse fishnco. u know how e fishnco staff will sing their signature song/cheer(i think its signature anyway) when theres a birthday baby at fishnco? well it was OVERWHELMING. real rowdy (if i can describe it tt way). i was trying to keep a straight face e whole time hahaaa. n luckily i couldnt stand on e chair! (thanks to my not-very-long skirt. hahaa!) and we had to hold sparklers and blow at e candle frm far away. it was certainly veryy memorable. thanks to honghui who organised it! and happy birthday again u fellow octobians (:

Went to Vivo City with Derek to celebrate our month anniversary and him getting his pti ippt gold.It was like bringing "lil derek" go shopping. Hahhz..1st of all his reaction today at 1st was ""man san pai" as in wols reaction. We went to look ard for jeans. We were at bossini and we were remarking on a pair of jeans which was quite ok and after i took it for him, he put it back and walk out. So there i was telling him"huh u dun wan to try meh" and he said"u nv say try ma"-.- haha...the result of not enuff aslp. We watch Halloween. A very Random choice.Seriously, this movie is pure psycho. Even derek was grimacing at the end of the movie. The movie had plenty of blood, dead people. not to mention..eh hem...boobs(its M18 ) The pace of the movie is exciting, you will end up feeling horrors and pain for the poor victims. Oh by the way, the movie is about a boy call Micheal Myers. he grew up in a dysfunctional family-the father is a bum i think, mom's a stripper, the sis dress like a stripper and Micheal always hides behind a clown mask,so tell me why i hate clowns. the normal family member is the baby sis Lou). He's gt a deranged mind cos he kills animals for fun and one day his mind went to "Ku Ku land' and he started killing sprees..the way he killed...u would say prayers to his victims- stabbed 17 times,brain smashed to smithereens by a baseball bat,boy beaten to death by a branch..yada yada. He gt sent to a asylum and he grew up to be some kind of giant of sorts. Super huge,he escaped out of asylum and started killing again. In all the movie statistics: no of people killed-17,almost once every 10 mins
No of girls baring their boobs:3 i tink...nt my interest
No of times Micheal gt injured:4 gun shots, 1 stab to the shoulder, fall from 2nd storey and he still can run n kill pple.simply bagus!
Went to Marche afterwards. It was derek's 1st time there. haha..he was impressed. the outlet at vivo is so much smaller than the heereen's ex outlet but the food standard is still there=)

i seriously think there is a lack of communication in my family. Our words come out differently from how we express care for one another. My parents love to jump to conclusions because they read signals wrongly. Me and my bro, we just shut up. Take for example last night, i was watching tv in the living room and my parents were at the dining table behind the sofa.

My dad asked my mum,"south africa is at the same latitude as australia right?"

and my mum answered," ya its the same as south america."

and i was thinking,"what? y the hell did she bring up south america for?"

dad:"i'm not asking about south america, i'm asking about south africa!"

mum:"ya la i'm telling you its the same as ..."

dad:" i never as you about south america, i want to know about south AFRICA!"

mum in a super flared up voice," i'm just telling you south africa is at the same level as south america! which is the same as australia as well!"

dad:"i never asked you about south america!"

obviously, communication problems. and probably listening one too. they flare up at the slightest of things sheesh. but of course, they still love each other very much. sometimes i think its my mum's problem. i know she means well and care a lot for the family. the amount of things she does for this family everyday is proof of that and i appreciate it a lot. but when it comes to communicating, she doesn't listen. she concludes before u can tell her the whole story, she doesn't get what u're trying to tell her and even when she does and want to comment on it, she says the opposite things of what she really wants to say. so she goes round the bush, which irritates me.

my dad provides a lot of financial stability in this house and i know i wouldn't live such a comfortable life now if it weren't for him. he's smart, thrifty and super duper practical and money minded. sometimes i think he loves money too much for his own good. if it weren't for my mother, i swear he would have made alot of enemies and lost many friends. when singapore was in an economy boom in the 1990s, my father was making quite a bit of money and spent most of the time at work, always going overseas to work twice a month. i think because of that, he has gotten use to just working in the workplace that he forgets that there is also work to be done at home now. he works from home now but he doesn't do much for the family! sometimes i just feel he thinks only of himself which was very evident when we moved house earlier this year. he's just lazy when it comes to family. there's more to contributing money to this family and he doesn't know that. maybe that's why both my mum and dad can get along so well. they are proofs of the phrase "opposites attract".

my mum is impatient but my dad is patient. my dad thinks of himself but my mum thinks of everybody else. my mum doesn't listen but my dad does. total opposites.

me and my bro? we sit quietly in our rooms or my bro will come over and bug me with his incessant chatting. we were taught never to retort our parents since young and we will never have the guts to do it because if we ever did, our parents will just scream at us. there is unfairness in this household and my parents don't know that.

Its been pretty Haps the past 3 days. kbox, more kbox, kelly poon's campus concert at NUS, lunch with JC mates. sadly, no pictures were taken on thursday's kbox with elaine, shufang and titus.

KBOX on friday afternoon:

initially, kbox were meant for more pple like the raiko pple but as usual they ps us and the only reliable person is HH! HH don't be sad though, look at rumbo and what's left of us. huishi, ritchell, joy, elaine and me. full stop. at least u guys meet more or less in school. it doesn't need to be everybody but at least u meet them. maybe nxt year, this grp of kboxers would be raiko and probably one freshie of yours. haha

Lunch with (from left to right) elaine, xiaomi, terence and leonard! haven seen the 2 guys in the longest time.. haha probably a year or more. more or less la. and t'was cool to meet up with old friends even if we were never really very close. haha still good :) ate at 新往香港茶餐厅at cineleisure's.

oh yes and one last thing. let me tell u a stupid thing elaine did in the toilet before we met the rest.

Had ec3303 paper yesterday and i killed it. i think the greatest invention there ever was in this world is ice cream because just eating one mouthful of it can lift my spirits up to no end! :) haha i think i was mad yesterday after the paper, i just complained and moaned to like absolutely everyone i met yesterday after the paper. i moaned to elaine and shufang first. then cherie, kaiwei, yihong and huishi. :( bah.. haha i suppose i can only blame myself because i only spend 1 and a half day to study for it! hahaha.. monday was spent on doing my ec3332 tut, so i was left with tuesday and what little time was left on wednesday before the paper.

at the start of the day, we(me, elaine and huishi) planned to go eat ice cream after the 3303 paper but was cancelled coz elaine didn't feel like it and i can't remember what. but after the paper, i was soooooooooooooo super duper unhappy that i just had to eat ice cream. hehe so elaine, shufang, not knowing how to console me, decided to just come with me! yihong joined us too!!! anyway, we were suppose to meet yihong at the kent ridge terminal then leve for daily scoops together. the 3 of us (me, elaine anf sf) were just walkin down the stairs to the terminal when we saw 151 leaving, so we dashed like mad for the bus and tapped our ex link cards. 1 second later:

elaine: eh we're suppose to wait for yihong!
me: oh ya! shit.. GET OFF THE BUS NOW!

i had trouble slping last night coz of a sudden bout of my-future-is-bleak syndrome. i was struck w images of myself 2 years down e road after i graduate, getting ready to go compete w e other graduates out there for a job. or mayb...not-so-ready.
it'll b a totally different world after tt. no more part-time jobs where theres less commitment n responsibility involved. work becomes ur life. its not okay to goof up anymore. there comes e problem of wat kind of jobs to look for, e kind of things to expect.
n once again i get reminded of my lack of direction in life, career and everything else.

yeap, went for the wakeboarding course on friday and it was really fun :)

at the start of the day at punggol marina country club! wakeboarding company: waketime!
