i was just looking through some pics that my cousin had on facebook and i realised i've never really blogged abt them or talk abt them much.
and we don't take much photos together since all of them live in m'sia and obviously i stay here, in sg.
small note: i'm closer to my cousins in malaysia than those in singapore with the exception of maybe 2 over here.
bottom line: my family doesnt take much photos. heh.
so here are a few we took last christmas when i went back to malaysia. we had barbeque at my grandma house! :) it was fun but i hardly ate. i think i ate like one sausage, one satay and uh .. lots of jelly.

the 3 girls. we played alot whenever i go over to malaysia. partly because we were all the same age and our mums are the closest siblings ever. haha. me (my mum is the oldest), angel ( her mum is the youngest), elaine (her mum is in between). yeah well, there's an uncle in between elaine and angel's mum but guys are out of this post so... yah.

eating the nice pink jellies... what a gross pic. hahaha yea well 1 of the few moments when i can catch my very super duper smart cousin elaine looking a little "off". did i mention she might stay in singapore after she graduates? hahaha all for the sake of her loverrrrrr... yayyyyy!!!
oh and i found this really cute photo(s) of my paternal grandfather in my mum's cam! it was his 91st birthday this year. unfortunately i couldnt go for the cake (coz of int'l econs. grrrr..), but i did turn up for lunch!
he looks so cute in his hat!!!! haha our birthday present to him coz he said his head was cold at night. so we got him that cap. he was so picky abt his hat too. haha but real cute :) (that's my grandma beside him,

Went to MOS yesterday! been quite some time since i clubbed. the last time was when we went to butter factory with papa and some of our seniors. Anyway MOS having some promotion. Tertiary students can go in for free but without re-entry,the public goes in for $6 with 1 free drinks on fridays and saturdays before 11pm. went with my poly classmates and silly us showed our ez link card to the bouncers and we didnt realise that it meant we go in automatically for free with no re-entry! and we went in at 9 plus pm! so we spent out time exploring the various rooms in MOs cos some of them had not been to MOS.
The girls from left-gaya,elaine(dawn's sis), me, dawn and maggie. There's liting n desmond(dawn's bf) not in the picture. We were at pure room wasting our time.
We knew we had to take a picture with this. These are my classmates=)
The toilet is always the best place to take pictures. 
We ordered some drinks. shared beer with maggie and desmond. me n desmond were craving for some bbq chicken wings cos it got quite plain drinking the beer after a while.
Derek came n send me home at later=) Danced till my feet hurted. it was quite crowded with alot of IRRITATing people. haha.

She watched Forbidden Kingdom yesterday at GV Bishan. Long awaited collaberation of 2 kong fu masters Jackie Chan anf Jet Li. It was almost full house at bishan yesterday. She sat in the fourth row away from the screen and suffered neck ache after that. The story goes that this american kid was transfered to ancient china after being entrusted with the "jin ku bang" that the monkey god used. He had to return it back to the monkey god who was trapped by an evil warlord and needed to stick to fight the warlord...anyway as u can see the storyline is RUBBISH. totally fantasy stuff and they converse in english!!!anicent china= english..hmmmm but WOAAH..check out the fighting scenes! And crystal Liu!!! chio bu!!! anyway once you catch the show, you will know why she is writing in this manner=) hahah..
1st week of school is over!! gosh, my timetable is horrible! i have night classes on tuesday so i am camping in school till 8pm.Modules are super heavy and it includes statistics and research methodology!!! Hello!!!?? i thought i had finally gotten rid of any "maths" topics already. and the worst part is the my project for stats has to be done in a bLOG!!!!! a Blog!!!!!!! its already quite hard for me to blod regulary , lest going online on a regulAR basis..omph..guess i just gotta grit my teeth and get through this semseter! hais!

today's family day was a little different. we joint-celebrated my grandparents' birthdays! i had such a headache thinking of what to buy them tt i decided to do a little something for them instead.
e word "chen" (read: tan in chinese) is a solid block of wood which was sawed personally by my dad. cool righttt!!! hahaaa. it took lots of time n photoshop to get all e photos tt i wanted in place. n thanks to my dad who gave me lots of help! i esp love my grandparents' photo of them under e umbrella. so sweet!! (:
there was sooo much food (too much as usual). n i was so happy coz there was so much sashimi n i din have to worry abt limiting myself. yayyy! n e birthday man (my granddad) made his legendary ou ni (yam paste) which was super yummm (:after dinner e cousins got bored n were playing ard w e computer when we found out tt we can take photos w e webcam!! n tt was how it all started. e number of pp behind us just kept increasing until finally e whole family came in to check out e hooha.

friday suppers are back on schedule! (we missed supper for so many fridays...!) ANYWAY, we have progressed frm e guo tie suppers @ fong seng days. todays supper was real sumptuous (:
we had botak jones! e flower hair girl was keeping us from closing e lab on time today. got me worried tt we wouldnt get to clementi on time b4 e stall closed. luckily enough our legs, though short, were pretty fast! hahaaaa. huishi's burger was gooood. at least e burger's beef patty tt i tried was. but todays fishnchips not up to standard so sad. im thinking abt sambal stingray nowww. yes sharon im hungry again hahaa.
huishi tried to show off her artistic skills today. she tattooed this ring n ugly heart shape n made my hand look like some pai kia hand. too bad no pictures due to e absence of her handy good camera and our lousy phone cameras. n she said such outrageous things tt made me laugh till i cried (tts nothing new). e 4 hrs always pass so quickly (:n on weds i wrote sharon's full name as yap SHEE lun sharon on our tutorial attendance sheet instead of SHI lun. it got ingrained into me tt she was called shee lun. shi lun doesnt exist anymore. hahaa!

was just browsing through some of the photos/videos i have over the past 2 years and guess what i stumbled upon! a video of RUMBO! i hope we can do it again this year before joy and ritchell goes overseas for exchange, before projects and assignments start swarming us in Yr 3, before all of us forget to meet each other even though we promise to. here's to rumbo. :D

today i realised one thing i truly love to do w my family. cook! amazingly everyone in my family can cook (n i dont just mean maggi mee hahaa) cooking with my grandparents n parents all in the same kitchen is always an experience. my grandpa always tries to teach me what to do n ends up doing it himself while trying to demonstrate e correct way to do it (he often doesnt realise hes taking over) n my grandma complains about every step my grandpa does (they have different ways of cooking e same dish). me n my dad will be laughing at how they always complain abt each other in front of us. it's really quite entertaining (: n my grandma n my mum are really starting to resemble each other (they bought e exact same ingredients for soup 2 weeks consecutively. no-synchronization involved) n my dad starting to take after my grandpa (he takes over unknowingly sometimes too hahaa) anyway what i really wanted to say today is: my thai chilli was a success!!!! it rocks okay i spent one hour chopping all e ingredients n squeezing all tt lime. my fingers were burning after tt frm all e chilli padi. my grandparents n dad were busying preparing everything else for dinner n complaining tt i was taking up so much space n time for my small saucer of chilli sauce. n i had to stop my grandpa frm taking over. heee (:

hey there! winnie 21st bdae was quite a success! haha, photos will have to wait because there has been a little hickup(?spelling) in getting the photos. Promise to send to you guys as soon as i get my hand on them. My cruise photos are there too! 3 weeks of holiday is going to come to an end soon. i really wonder what i have been doing. besides going out and online, that seems to be just about it. derek was asking me why m i not doing anything like taking a job or something. eh.. am i very lazy? although i do think that there's a certain degree of laziness in me but i feel rather justified in that i am enjoying my student life. haaha..because i have worked for a full year full time, i really feel that working aint a bed of roses so i just wanna enjoy myself before entering the working society. Seeing my classmates take up tution one after an another makes me wonder if its really necessary. maybe they need the extra money cos i am comfortable with my allowance and do not need any extra mollah. but then again, who dont want extra money. okay i think i am contridicting myself. blaaah...thooughts running in my head. cant seem to get them organised! haha. . oh wells. maybe i might teach tution if i manage to find one..mayb just mayb. haaha

the day barely started and we were cam whoring like nobody's business already. slack team number 1 was really number 1 especially at the end!!! hahaha :D
games, food, friends and just plain fun all the way!! :) the 1st game involved jumping up and down with your mouth open trying to get a string. haha and elaine took a reallllllllllllllll looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to get her string. hahahaha!!!!! SHORTIE!! :p.2nd game was really fun which involved string, rubberband and cups!!!! i bet its going to be in arts camp this year. it was really funny piling them into a pyramid. :D:D yayyy :)

as the food was generally free, they sat us at the express area and the not-so-comfy-seats at the entrance(which werent meant for customers at all) oh well, what more can u ask when u've had free food right? :D
let me proudly say that slack team was NUMBER 1 at the destination point!!!! UOB Building!!!! totally the 1st man!!!! seee slack team wasn't so bad eh???
