yesterday was e first day of our newfound freeDOM. of coz we started it off w a bang. (haha actually we alr started celebrating e night before)

ANYWAY

we went shopping! but i think (for once) we din spend as much as i thought we would. coz theres still 3 months left for us to shop (!) gotta save some funds for later too. ahahaa.


mayb people really do dress according to their mood. yellow was e colour of e day ( it was unanimous) either tt or we're psychic. hahaa. hopefully i dun have to work nxt week so we can go play somemoreee :)

meet my family!


dinner was good w lotsa goooood food. we decided to celebrate my grandparents birthdays in-house this year!crabs+satay+chicken+venison+cerealprawns etcetc. half home-cooked n half da-bao_ed. finally some real food after many days of mifen n nasi lemak (frm sch) :)

i survived first week of school!!!! haha,school's super fun but extremely tiring,esp on tue when my day ends at 6pm. i went home totally drained of energy. still trying to adapt to tertiary style of more self directed learning..meaning STUDY ON YOUR OWN! haha,sec sch n even jc was actually quite spoon fed=p 1st wk of sch and we had to give presentations on the coming mon...urgh...

rather liked my class,there's like the noisy bunch and the non noisy bunch. when i say non noisy,i mean they r like rrreaaaaal quiet!

need to go do online learning already. prob blog bout sch more later!

hurhur... studying make people hungry and we had to satisfy our hunger yesterday at FONG SENG!! ahaha its been a long time since we last went there. i think it was during arts camp last year. neway, i look dumb. its the studying. no wait. its my evil twin out to ruin my life..

i just made a trip down to e nearby park to release some of my tingtong-ness. too much studying has mad me abit cranky. ahahaa.

was sitting side by side w this little girl when i realised e stark contrast.

swing was squeaking away (i think im getting abit heavy for this)

looked like she was going to fly out of e swing.


swings are good for thinking n relaxing. e kid in me speaks :)


e girls went to huishi's to study today. abit unproductive coz we are all exhausted frm e weather+studies+lackofsleep. we went to get free cones this afternoon! sharon shall update u abt e xciting detailsss.

its been real hectic today. not to mention EVENTFUL. me n huishi had to work. n we could hear e fishies calling out in hunger *for reasons i cant divulge* and we spent e longest time scrubbing tanks. i think i got biceps frm cleaning tanks. haha. n huishi had to brave e GENTS to get water for e tank.

no shes not a chi-ko-pek. HAHA. e janitor's closet is right beside e gents.

stock-taking was super tiring too. and we got real pekcek of pp who:

1. refused to answer their phones.
2. totally contradicted themselves
3. did not spare a thought for us (!!)

fuming away in e shop. well not really fuming. we just felt real bad to have to break our promise to one very nice lady. but my anger dissolved when even nicer pp (read: my dad) was totally nice abt it n made me feel better even w/o saying anything :) amazing how he does tt. and e absolutely deeeeliciooussss fishheadcurry at my grandma's helped!

but alas, nice pp nv have good endings. this certain totally unreasonable person just spoilt our night. wats wrong w today man.

Another 13 Days to endure before i can see Derek. To make things worse,i have sch till 4pm on fri when he is supposed to book out. Gosh, how sad can that be,hopefully he doesnt book out earlier than 5pm or sth or else i cant make it. One thing i realise, guys just starting NS needs reassurance. Understandable cos they are confined in an island while the girls are out. But i am more than happy to let him know that i m waiting for him=)

Went for orientation yesterday. i hate new places cos it means that i am alone all by myself and to make matters worse,i noe that derek cant really be there for me.Urgh. Super scary once i got there cos there were like super lots of people at the auditorium and its like people are toking among themselves and stuff.Sigh.lonely,the only adjective to describe me at that moment.

After that got into my class.Glad to find out that my class was actually quite noisy (me being one of the noisier ones after i warmed up to some people). My class is like a mini south east asia. i got people from Malaysia,china and even Myanmar. Cool right?

Turned into my depression mode once i got home. Thinking about lots of stuff. About Derek, about my choice of nursing, about my sponsorship,my age gap with most of the poly freshmen (sux totally),rocky relationship with my mum these few days. Urgh.

i wish i wish i was back in secondary school. life doesn't seem so rosy once u grow older.

I just finished watching a documentary on Lion Pride and this particular video is just amazing!!!
Apparently, this lioness adopted an oryx, usually a lion's prey, and protected it and probably loved it like its own cub. It allowed this oryx calf to return to its mother to drink milk before taking the calf away again. This lioness didn't eat the cub or harm it in any way, but instead took great pains to protect it from other predators and wouldn't let it leave her sight 24/7. It is known that lions hunt every 4 days but this lioness gorgo hunting, endured starvation just to protect this young calf. However, after 16 days of vigil watching, this lioness finally let the calf wander out of her sight and unfortunately, this calf was hunted down by a male lion and was killed. This poor lioness showed signs of how a loss of a cub would affect her. As it was common for lioness that male lions hunt for cubs, she had to let it go. After 16 days of starvation, she finally hunted another animal for food. The most amazing part was, she continually adopted 5 other calfs for another 5 years and has since disappeared after the last calf fled back to its own mother.

Bored! without Derek,life aint just the same! Oh wells,looking forward to seeing him 2 weeks!Longest i have ever have to endured not meeting him but the nightly calls make life bearable. Went to Tekong with his folks to send him off. It super looks like a chalet to me instead of BMT. It was kinda weird to see all the guys swearing their lifes to the state. Somehow they seem to feel abit more grown up.
Going to have orientation tomorrow..ooh..having jitters. Going to school after so long...i think i already forgot how going to school felt like!

see that? tts e new ferris wheel at somewhere near marina sq. i heard its abt 20 storeys high. huishi n sharon are dyinggg to go on it. and they wanna drag me along. im so gg to break e railings (frm grabbing too hard) and dieee up there laa. im so not suited for activities in e air. cant imagine being soooo high up there suspended for half an hour.

still, i think its really pretty to look at! reminds me of e ferris wheel in honey and clover (for those who dont know --> its an anime!) i always thought their drawings of the ferris wheel was really pretty. checkitout :)

anyway, xiaomi's back frm taiwan! with presentss! happygirlss :)


see e white things in e pink packets? those are nehneh chocolates. i thought they were pretty obscene. and when u put them in ur mouth, e feeling is totally weird. ahaaa. but theyre nice white chocolates though. there were mai-ya-tang cookies+muahchee tooo. and cigarette sweets. and a veryyy nice spectacle case w clovers printed all over it! i lurveee :) thankyouuu xiaomi!!

today, i went out with xiaomi and elaine!!! we went to red dot museum and elaine shall tell u more abt it later. neway, i went into a shop with elaine after xiaomi left and i happily colorued my nails with odd colours! but they made my day! its so nice and colourful !!!! :D:D:D but in the end i bought a totally different colour that is not even seen here.. hurhur. all in all, i must say that i'm going to fail this semester!! ahahaha judging my the amt of NOT studying i did this weekend. ok i think i better go study at least one chapter of something.. haha :)

Phantom of the Opera rocks! ok they didn't rock, but they so rock in a figurative form. :) love the phantom character- tall, dark, mysterious, intelligent and an absolute genius!!! apparently, the Brad Little (he is the "Phantom") is not that little afterall, he is like 6 FOOT 2 INCHES!!! like i would have to bend my neck 90 degrees to look at him if near.. hurhur.

neway, he is really the best singer suited for the phantom the wide range of singing voice he possesses is really ... wow! i would have taken photos with the phone but then it would unfair to the performers and those who paid for the performance, so i didn't. neway, we weren't allowed to take any photos. all i can say is, the set is absolutely brilliant! there was sooooooooooo MANY different layers of backdrops and the fast rate of changing them in split seconds was just amazing! and the most astonishing parts of the musicals was how the phantom and christine manage to move from the stage floor , out of the stage and back onto the "stage" where they were walking down the "dungeons" from this midair path. if u watched u'll prolly understand but if u did not, i don't think u'll understand. and the other surprise was when the phantom just suddenly DISAPPEARED off stage in a split second: 1 sec he was sitting on the chair, the other sec, he was gone, vamoosed, vanished.

I love the show. n planning to watch again, ahaha dun mind paying top price for good seats :) neone who wanna watch and willing to pay top price come watch with me!! xiaomi and elaine alr booked their tix n i think circle 3 is gonna kill them. so ya, tell me if u wanna watch it too! (coz i didn't pay for the show yesterday, my mum did! thanks mum!) ahaha VIP box seat is $160, seats on the ground and circle 1 is $145. i'm not going to circle 2 or 3 thanks.

today was a disaster. huishi's morning got destroyed (once again. shes real suay this week.) by some stupid phone business. and i got a new ou xiang: ritchell! shld learn how to fight off unreasonable salespeople frm her one day. i gotta stand firm for my customer rights! hahaa.
me n sharon decided to accompany huishi to settle her mess seeing how PERTURBED she was (perturbed: to disturb greatly; make uneasy or anxious.)

we thought we'd have to go n create a big hoohah there but all turned out well thanks to a certain very nice salesman :)
since our dear huishi was feeling better alr (!!), we decided we shld commemorate today w some photo stickers.

e secretary photo was hilariouss. my favourite! haha. and joy made us laugh real bad with her "haha hor" and "haha yea" msgs. (ur e inspiration for our photostickers!) i cant take too many hahas in a day. i think i might get abs soon frm all e laughing. I WISH.

my mum's off to korea w her sister today. her first time overseas w/o me n my dad. shes such a fussy eater she will probably survive on ginseng chicken. ahahaa. she couldnt stop reminding us of things to do at home (boil water+wash clothes+make breakfast(?!)+everything else mums usually do) she wont b home for a whole 7 days!


i had to make my mum do tt. but she was so xcited i think she din mind doing it. ahahaaa. anyway. e house is feeling empty ( e hse is empty enough w three pp. its only two thirds full noww) and i think my dad's lonely alr. i cant wait till she comes backkk.

oh ya.

our attempt to study.......FAILED once again. this is bad!

ooooo... my dog and i suffered today. ok my dog more than i did. i ended up with a goondu fringe but my dog just got spayed n is currently in great pain such that she cannot really walk. the poor dear is now sleeping on the new bed cushion i bought for her today.

neway, as u can tell, our blog skin has changed!!! ahaha n its personalized too! i spent like almost the whole day to fix it since 9am.. ahaha.. until about 4 pm with breaks in between of course! had to keep redoing the pics but its all very nice in the end!! :)

i went to help sharon unpack on fri. and look wat i came back with!!

yesterday me n mini monster P scrubbed the big aquarium at marina sq. time flies when we work together :) mini monster was busy taking photo after photo (basically all look abt e same to me) ahaa. we met many rich pp yesterday (u can tell theyre loaded by e way they speak). and ltr on dark shadows cast over e shop when her boys came to visit. coz all of them superr tall! (blocked all e light frm me who is vertically challenged) ahahaa.
